Hello everyone,
I do apologize for the lack of proper documentation. For now this short
"instructions pamphlet" will have to do.
In order to use CU-SeeMe one has to connect to what are called reflectors.
These machines will "reflect" audio/video traffic to all the CU-SeeMe
clients that request it. For a list of some public reflectors see the
file "reflectors.txt".
If you start Amiga CU-SeeMe with no arguments you will get a dialog window
that will expect you to enter a user name and a target reflector IP address.
Once you enter these, click on connect. If the reflector responds, you will
start to see feed names appearing on the "Transmitters" listview on the left
of the control panel window and reveiver names on the "Receivers" listview
on the right. The first transmitters will automatically become the active
feed. If you want to select another on click on its name in the "Transmitters"
listview. During feed changes be patient. Due to the nature of CU-SeeMe
feed changes may take a couple of seconds to be observable. Note that it is
normal for you not to see yourself in the "Receivers" list.
You can control the brightness and the contrast of the incoming video using
the corresponding sliders. The volume slider is currently non-functional.
The only other gadgets are in the video window and are labeled "M" and "P". The
"M" stands for "Magnify" and the "P" stands for "Panel". Toggling "M" will
change the video display between the 1x1 and the 2x2 displays. Toggling "P"
will open and close the control panel.
To quit click on the close gadget of either the video or the control window.
Good luck.
